Emma Watson: 'I've Had Bad Relationships' ? Showbiz Spy ...

Emma Watson: ?I?ve Had Bad Relationships?

Posted by Adam

EMMA Watson admits she has had bad relationships.

The British actress ? who?s dating student Will Adamowicz ? used to believe love was ?pain?, but had a ?revelation? that relationships could be happy.

?When I started dating, I had this kind of Romeo and Juliet, fateful, romantic idea about love,? she said. ?It was almost that you were a victim ? that there was a lot of pain involved and that was how it should be.

?Shakespeare said the course of true love never did run smooth and I had a sense it had to be painful. It was such a revelation to realize it shouldn?t be that way and you get to choose who you love and who you give your heart to.

?It sounds like a cliche but I also learned that you?re not going to fall for the right person until you love? yourself and feel good about how you are.

?The sad thing is you only learn from experience, so as much as someone can tell you things, you have to go out there and make your own mistakes in order to learn.

It?s difficult on my dating life. Anyone I get photographed with is automatically my boyfriend. So it makes it look as if I?ve had, like, 6000 boyfriends.?

Man updates Facebook page while holding hostage

PITTSBURGH -- An armed man was holding a hostage inside a Pittsburgh high-rise building on Friday, authorities said, and he appeared to be posting messages about his situation on Facebook.

Police were negotiating with the man who said he had a gun and also a bomb in a 16th-floor office at 3 Gateway Center, Pittsburgh Police Chief Nate Harper told reporters at the scene.

"He is not telling negotiators why he's doing this," Harper said. There have been no injuries, he added.

Police identified the man as Klein Michael Thaxton and said they were talking to him by telephone and monitoring his Facebook page.

On Facebook, a man who appeared to be Thaxton was posting messages at mid-morning. He also posted what he claimed was his telephone number.

"how this ends is up to yall," said one of his Facebook messages.

In another message, he wrote: "i cant take it no more."

"this life im livn rite now i dnt want anymore ive lost everything and i aint getting it back," said another message.

Several people responded to him on Facebook saying they were praying for him and encouraging him to cooperate with police.

But others were urging him to continue his standoff with police, Harper said. Police were monitoring those Facebook messages and those people could face criminal charges as accessories, he said.

Police said they were considering asking Facebook to

take down Thaxton's page and as of early afternoon, it was no longer available.

Thaxton walked into the office shortly after 8 a.m. and took one man hostage, police said, but had not made any demands.

Harper said Thaxton was being cooperative and calm and that police were willing to be patient in resolving the standoff.

"We might be here for a while," Harper said.

Thaxton's mother was escorted inside the building to talk to her son, but she told police did not know his motive, Harper said.

As she left the building, she was visibly distraught.

"I just want him to get the help he needs," she said, refusing to give her name.

The incident was taking place in the office of a company that handles union pensions, but police said Thaxton did not appear to have any connection to the company.

On Facebook, the man believed to be Thaxton also wrote: "welln pops youll never have to worry about me again you'll nevr need to by me anything no need to ever waste ur hard earned money on me. i'll live n jail you dnt want me around anymore thats kool bye..."

Police said the suspect was believed to be ex-military, and Thaxton's mother confirmed that her son had served in the U.S. Army.

The situation was contained and rest of the office building was not evacuated, Harper said. Police cordoned off several streets around the office building.

LG Optimus G 13-megapixel sample pictures

LG Optimus G

One of the more important features of the LG Optimus G -- of any current smartphone, really -- is the camera. The Optimus G actually will come in a couple flavors. We took the 13-megapixel smartphone for a test-drive last week in Seoul, South Korea. Other regions will see an 8-megapixel shooter, with the added bonus that it gives the phone a slightly slimmer profile.

So how'd the camera perform? Pretty well. We do have to keep in mind that we were using a preproduction unit, but we were told the camera should be pretty darn close to the experience we'll have in a retail unit.  But the camera app was decent enough and had all the usual bells and whistles in the usual places.

Our one main concern was that a number of our pics seemed to be a little hazy. We tracked that down to our greasy fingerprints on the lens, and we found ourselves having to constantly wipe it down before taking a clear picture. That's not something we have to do with every device. (Or maybe we should be more worried about it?) It'll be interesting to see if that's just us holding it wrong, or if others of you will muck it up just as much.

Anyhoo. We've got a bevy of sample pics after the break. Some are in HDR, but we're not going to tell you which ones. The HDR mode actually seems to be kind of weak, so we're curious if you can spot it in action.

Creating The Most Effective Banner Ads | Sell it 4

????? / ?????????

Advertising is what makes companies what they are. It helps them build reputations, establish a name for themselves and most importantly it increases the amount of business they do. That is why nearly five-hundred billion dollars is spent per year advertising in the United States alone and well over a trillion dollars per year in the world. Companies like Amazon and Overture helped take advertising and bring it into the online world where it has the ability to progress and succeed like never before.

Online advertising has changed the way that advertising in general is looked at by the general public. Advertisements used to be a thing seen mainly in newspapers, in magazines, on billboards and on televisions. All of these ads in the past were generic and few were considered to be unique. Online advertising has opened up a wide range of new opportunities for advertisers everywhere. Advertisers can now use the internet to promote ads with video, text, animation, graphics, games, http://www.vansaustralia2013.com/ polls and other forms of ads that can be interactive and contain many forms of rich media. The difference between advertising on the internet and advertising in the outside world is technology. All advertising conducted on the internet uses world class technology to make advertising as sophisticated and effective as possible for the users. When users advertise online they have the ability to track data and statistics of their ads and the people viewing their ads which provide all of the information needed to run a successful advertising campaign in the near future.

Of the many methods and systems that advertisers use to advertise online, there is one way that is particularly interesting because of its unique allowance for customization. Internet banner ads are the most commonly used form of online advertising and the most effective form of online advertising. There a number of popular payment systems that can be used with banner ads and each one has the ability to make an advertising campaign cost and time efficient and successful. Frequent internet browsers may see hundreds of banners per day while browsing the internet and most of these users do not even realize how sophisticated these banners really are. Even when you ignore an internet banner, you are providing them with useful information that someone with your interests is not interested in a certain type of advertisement with the specific content that it contains. This kind of information is recognized and recorded for each individual banner viewer and the information is later used to target advertisements and run successful advertising campaigns.

To really understand banner ads, you have to see more than just how they work in action. You need to understand that they were placed in certain locations on certain websites for a reason. In the online advertising world almost nothing is random. Everything is done for a reason whether the user realizes the reason or not. Recently, Iooking to test out an internet banner for the first time, I was browsing the internet for ad space to place a banner advertising customized bicycle parts. I came across a bicycle forum website that claimed to have nearly two-hundred thousand unique visitors per month. With all of these unique visitors, this site seemed like the perfect place to place a banner ad advertising bike parts that many of these website visitors may be interested in. Now, I really did not want to pay to advertise a banner because I do not own a customized bicycle parts company. I was just interested in seeing the entire process of running an ad campaign with banner ads. Through contacting the site administer, I found out that the banner ads displayed on the bike forum were being displayed by Google. One of Google advertising services lets a user give their ads to Google and Google places them in the most appropriate places. There are many methods that a user can pay Google for using their services including pay per click, pay per impression, pay per action and several other methods.

Anyone considering advertising on the internet with internet banners should learn of affiliate marketing before they begin to advertise. The best part of affiliate marketing is that the person employing the affiliate or affiliates does not have to spend any money on their advertising unless their advertising makes them money. With affiliate advertising with banners, an affiliate will take a website owner banners and place them in places all over the internet in places where people in the website owner target market are known to frequent. When a user clicks on one of the banners displayed by the affiliate, they are automatically directed to the advertiser website. If and only if they make a purchase on the website is the affiliate paid. This means that the affiliates work very hard to makes sales for a website owner because they are paid based on their performance. It can also be worked into a deal that affiliates will get paid based on certain actions that a user performs such as adding their email to an email list or interacting with an ad. Using affiliates to promote advertisements is a great way for anyone to advertise because everyone can afford it because money is only spent on advertising when more money is earned from the advertising.

There are many other ways besides using affiliate that a user can pay for their banner ads. One way is using a cost per impression method. This was the first ever method that was used by ad servers like Google AdSense to display advertisements. A publisher signs up for vans shoes the services of an ad server and then pays the ad server for every one-thousand impressions their banner makes. An impression occurs every time a webpage is loaded with a banner on it. This method can be used without ad servers through paying a specific website owner but there are many advantages to using an ad server in this situation. Ad servers often offer special deals for customers using their services and using a cost per impression payment system. They will not count an impression twice if a page is reloaded or refreshed by a user who has already seen the ad. They will also not count impressions multiple times if a user is browsing a website and ends up loading the advertisement six times during their browsing session. Only one impression will be recorded which saves the publisher money.

Advertising with a pay per click method is also very efficient. Impressions are not paid for by the publisher so they do not have to pay every single time a webpage is loaded with their ad on it. The publisher only has to pay for their advertisements when a user clicks on one of their ads and is directed to their website. This ensures the publisher that they are only paying for an ad when the ad actually brings traffic to their website. The only downside of using this method is that many clicks occur accidently and they must be paid for by the banner owner or publisher. Click fraud is known to happen when using the pay per click method so it is important to avoid click fraud because it can result loss of advertising campaign and a lifetime ban of an account with an ad server.

Most methods of banner payment can be classified under the pay per action system. Pay per action can mean many different things depending on what a publisher and an advertiser agree upon. The basic definition of pay per action is a publisher pays an advertiser when certain actions are taken by a user relating to the publisher ad. The action can be something as simple as a click or it can be something as complicated as an actual sale. Common actions that are used in this type of system are clicking on an ad, voting in a poll, providing an email address or other contact information, playing a game, watching a video, rolling over an ad to increase its size and making a sale.

When creating a banner for the first time, it is very important to take all things into consideration including what form of payment you plan to use. You do not need to decide on your payment system before creating the banner but if you have already decided than you need to make sure you banner is appropriate for that method of payment. For example, if you are planning on using a pay per impression banner, you should not use rich media like videos on your banner. The reason to avoid videos in this method is that they will make the webpage load slower which means that you impressions are occurring at a slow pace that is aggravating to website viewers. If you want people to watch your video, you should be using a pay per action system and not a pay per impression system.

When initially creating a banner, the size of it does not need to be a top priority but it needs to be considered. Size in this context is referring to the memory size of a banner or the space that it takes up on a computer and not the actual length and width of a banner. Once a banner is created, you should go back to your banner and experiment with it to find ways to decrease the size of it in any way possible. The smaller size a banner is, the quicker it will load on a webpage and the better and faster it will function if it is a banner containing rich media.

Targeting you banners towards the right audience or your target market can make or break an advertising campaign. Website traffic is very important but the quality of the traffic is much more important than the quantity of the traffic. If you are receiving one-thousand extra visitors to your website per day because of your banners but none of those one-thousand visitors are making a purchase, the banner is not effective. If you are receiving fifty extra visitors to your website per day from your banner and an average of five of them are making purchases every day, your banner is successful. You need to figure out how to take those fifty extra visitors and turn them into one-thousand visitors of the same quality. If you are not using any outside advertising services to advertise your banners, then you will have to find the websites to advertise your banners on by surfing the internet and contacting website owners directly. You should be looking for websites that have high traffic from people who you consider to be in your target market. This will lead to quality traffic. Ad servers use many different methods to ensure that targeted, quality traffic is generated from ads they are displaying for customers or business partners. They use keywords, content and tracking cookies to find the best groups of people to advertise to.

Cookies or tracking cookies that are used by ad servers are one of the best ways to target your advertisements. They allow you to track a specific internet user history and current web browser to see what websites they are visiting, what purchases they have made or are making and even what advertisements they click on. The data cookies collect is all anonymous and is used to help run future ad campaigns. Using the data they receive, cookies will allow ad servers to create profiles for certain users and then place the users into groups based on their profile. The groups will then be targeted on an ad by ad basis.

When looking for the best return on your investment with internet advertising, look no further than banner ads. The largest and most trafficked websites in the world use internet banners to advertise and so do many small businesses owners who own and operate websites without a surplus of traffic. Banner advertisements can be used at little to no cost to a website owner and have the potential to generate unlimited amounts of traffic and sales for a website.

UK pricing begins to filter out for Motorola's Intelpowered RAZR i smartphone

Soon after it's unveiling, the Intel-based RAZR i showed up in Clove's listings with a SIM-free price of £342, and now it looks as if a few more outlets are pushing pricing details to the world. Expected to storm the UK in October, the phone should ship to Virgin Media customers for around £23 per month on its Premiere Tariff, while T-Mobilers will be able to score one for £0 to £31 per month depending on the contract. All told, not too shabby for the world's first 2GHz Atom-backed Android phone, and if you're eager to push all of this iPhone 5 stuff aside, at least you know precisely how many quid to save up between now and next month.

Sniping from within GOP adds to Romney's struggles

See the Tulsa World?s coverage of local, state and national elections and learn about candidates.

Republican running mate Paul Ryan drew boos at an AARP convention in New Orleans when he said Romney would repeal Obama's health-care law, which closed a gap in coverage for seniors' prescription drugs. The Wisconsin congressman accused the administration of weakening Medicare and flinching from tough measures needed to stabilize Social Security's finances, adding that the president has "put his own job security over your retirement security."

Obama rebutted Ryan's charges point by point in a video appearance to the same audience. He said the Republican prescription for Medicare would mean "billions in new profits for insurance companies" and replacing guaranteed benefits with a voucher that would bring higher out-of-pocket costs for seniors.

Campaigning in Nevada, Romney continued to point to Obama's recent remark that he had learned, after nearly four years as president, that he couldn't change Washington from the inside. Although Obama went on to cite public involvement as a necessity for change, the Republican campaign framed the remark as an admission of failure.

"Over history, there have been people that have changed Washington from the inside," Romney said in Las Vegas. "And they've done it effectively by showing leadership from the top. ... This president has not done that."

But there seemed no letup in the bad political news for Romney, hit by a barrage of it since he was seen on videotape saying that his job as a candidate is not to worry about the 47 percent of Americans whom he said pay no income taxes and see themselves as victims.

Obama, for sure, was eager to keep the controversy alive. Campaigning in Woodbridge, Va., he defended himself against Romney's jabs at his own statement that change is impossible from the inside in Washington. "It can't happen if you write off half the nation before you even took office," he said.

He also drew laughter and applause from his audience when he mocked his rival. "He stood up at a rally, proudly declared, 'I'll get the job done from the inside.' What kind of inside job is he talking about? Is it the job of rubberstamping the top-down, you're-on-your-own agenda of this Republican Congress? Because if it is, we don't want it."

Romney's troubles have sent shudders down ballot, where Republicans are in tough races that will settle the outcome for the struggle for control of the Senate this fall. Tommy Thompson, dropping in the polls in Wisconsin, said "the presidential thing is bound to have an impact on every election."

That produced a quick retort from John Sununu, a top Romney surrogate. "My good friend Tommy Thompson sounds like Barack Obama, blaming it on somebody else," he said on CNN.

But Thompson wasn't alone. Rep. Rick Berg, running for the Senate in North Dakota, became the latest in a string of candidates to say they disagreed with Romney's 47 percent remarks.
