PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale is in development at SuperBot Entertainment. The fighting game stars Sony first- and third-party mascots battling it out on a 2.5D surface. It will be released on PlayStation 3 and a PlayStation Vita version will be confirmed at E3 2012 shortly.
In their own words: ?PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale existed as an idea in the hearts of gamers way before SuperBot got around to making it, and the expectations of the fans are really what drive us. This game is a labor of love, and we?re excited to be able to finally show it.?

Sony?s PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is different from Nintendo?s Super Smash Bros. series in that punches do no damage. Instead your successful attacks in each level help you save up action points for special attacks (the longer you save, the more powerful the special move you choose gets), which is what you?ll be saving up for to KO (Knock Out) other players. And that?s how you win against other players (1-4 players both locally and online).
Here?s a video with some first-impressions.
The game is set for a release in the last half of 2012, so we won?t have to wait too long to try it out.
By the way, ?PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale? is quite a mouthful, I personally liked the tentative name ?Title Fight? better.
How would you shorten the ?PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale? name?
