In Theaters This Weekend: Reviews of 'Captain Phillips,' 'Romeo and Juliet' and More

Paul Greengrass' thrilling drama Captain Phillips, starring Tom Hanks, is hitting theaters this weekend after premiering at New York Film Festival last month.

The high-seas biopic, based on events that unfolded in the spring of 2009, follows Hanks as the real-life Captain Richard Phillips who was kidnapped by young Somali pirates while trying to save his crew on the U.S. cargo ship Maersk Alabama. Captain Phillips also stars Somali newcomer Barkhad Abdi as the Somali pirate captain Muse, and Catherine Keener as Phillips' wife, Andrea.

Read what The Hollywood Reporter's film critics have to say about Captain Phillips and other films opening this weekend, and find out how they're expected to perform at the box office.
